Claire hails from Scotland, where she earned an honours degree in marketing and company law from Strathclyde University Business School in Glasgow. After graduating, she followed her heart to explore new horizons, strengthening her love of culture and people. Claire has held various roles in UK, USA and Australia before immigrating to South Africa in 2007.

Claire is Firecracker’s zestful events and campaign manager – a true individual who brings a wealth of experience to managing high-profile events for agencies, charities and corporates. She worked on the project management team that hosted the first ever multi-platform township festival in the Western Cape, The Khayelitsha Festival in 2008. She was Project Manager of the Bobs For Good Foundation’s Walk This Way campaign. Whether it’s a celebration, a ceremony or a campaign, Claire brings a lively charisma, pure enthusiasm, professionalism and experience.

With her well-earned reputation as a hands-on and personable event manager throughout South Africa, Claire leads Firecracker’s event team and supplier network with real passion and enormous energy. She trains in mixed marshal arts, which keeps her super fit a bonus in this demanding industry. She has one child, a pit bull terrier called Douglas.


Claire project managed a number of key areas of the inaugural Khayelitsha Festival. She tackles whatever she is tasked to do with commitment, passion and an exceptional work ethic. Claire is a professional, direct and empathetic character.
